Coloursounds Entertainment began in the summer of 1977 at a disco party to celebrate the Queens Silver Jubilee using borrowed equipment. From these humble beginnings Coloursounds Entertainment branched out from just discos to encompass other forms of entertainment including quiz nights, sound and lighting for amateur theatre, working with bands and cabaret acts, outdoor concerts and karaoke shows, in fact anywhere you might need sound reinforcement or lighting.
The music collection starts from the 1940’s and takes you through the ballroom era into the rock ’n’ roll of the 50’s and the 60’s and onto the glam rock and disco days of the 70’s and 80's and finally into the dance and pop tunes of the 90’s up to the present day. This also includes the right style of background music for those occasions that require it.
Coloursounds uses the latest in DMX lighting and lasers enhanced with smoke generators for the disco nights and for the more mature evenings, we use a softer combination of lights. Lighting can also be arranged for special occasions, shows and events. Please note we do not use strobe lighting due to the adverse effect these can have on some people.
The noise level is important to your function. We use professional quality equipment for all the events we attend to ensure the sound is as good as possible. We can also provide PA systems for other artistes and functions.
Coloursounds Disco is a professionally run company that uses contracts to ensure that there are no misunderstandings or double bookings. It is company policy that the DJ attending your event is neat and smart and when specified at the time of booking will wear the appropriate attire for your function (dinner suit, tuxedo, fancy dress or just smart casual).
